Story overview
On October 2, 2026, Techmeme, citing reporting by The Verge's Jess Weatherbed, said Suno has launched a feature called Speech. According to that report, Speech generates spoken voices from scripts or prompts, with optional AI background music added to the synthetic voiceover. The feature is in public beta.
The same report notes that the rollout comes while Suno's music generator is still facing lawsuits. The available material does not say who the parties are, what the claims involve, or how far those cases have progressed, so that point can only be recorded as stated.
So the story currently rests here: Suno has introduced Speech, which turns scripts or prompts into spoken audio with an optional AI-generated music bed, and the feature is in public beta as of the October 2, 2026 report. No further developments appear in the material.

Heat counts how many independent sources covered a story in the last 48 hours: one source counts once no matter how many posts it published, decaying with a 24-hour half-life. What ranks first is what many people are talking about.
