Background & analysis
Kling AI has formally released Kling 4.0. In an October 15 announcement, the company confirmed that the model is now fully available, and that a refreshed web creation experience, along with MCP and CLI access, is live as well.
The same announcement draws a distinction that matters for planning: 4K and 1080p HDR output, plus the enterprise and developer API, are still listed as coming soon. The report suggests treating what is already live and what is still pending as two separate tracks when planning work.
The report also notes that anyone comparing Kling 4.0 Flash should keep the scene, the reference asset set, and the review criteria consistent, and should first confirm the usage conditions of the mode they pick. As it stands, the public information ends at full availability with the web experience, MCP, and CLI open; 4K, 1080p HDR output, and the enterprise and developer API have not yet shipped.
