Doubao Work upgrades computer control with recordable skills and lock-screen tasks

On the morning of October 28, Doubao announced via its official WeChat account that the computer-operation capability of Doubao Work has been upgraded overall, with improved precision and speed for on-screen clicks.

In terms of features, Doubao Work had previously supported cross-application operation and recording browser actions as a skill. This update extends recording to a full computer workflow: users can demonstrate a process once while narrating each step, teaching Doubao Work how to do it. Once the recording ends, Doubao Work organizes the action flow and the narration into a personal skill. The next time a similar task comes up, users can simply select that skill and explain what needs to be handled this time, skipping the need to walk through the steps again.

In addition, under Settings → Work Task Mode Settings, enabling the option Allow Doubao to Work While Locked lets tasks that require operating the computer continue running on a locked Mac. A user who has stepped away can send tasks to that locked Mac from a phone and view the returned results on the phone; once back at the computer, they can take over again after unlocking it. According to IT Home, after successive updates Doubao Work already supports one-click importing of conversations and memory from ChatGPT and similar services, a canvas workspace, parallel multi-Agents, and computer operation on Mac. Doubao Work is Doubao's new Agent product and brand for productivity scenarios, capable of breaking down tasks around a user's goal, invoking tools, and pushing complex work forward.
